A Fly-Fishing Life - My Story

Pat Neuner has spent forty years in the fly-fishing industry — a career that started when he picked up a fly rod at eleven and somehow escalated into owning a fly shop at seventeen. From there, he moved through a series of pioneering roles at Orvis, working across technical support, retail, travel, and product development. For the past twenty-three years, Pat has been a manager at Wapsi Fly, contributing to product development, international sales, customer service, and daily operations. His presentation looks back at four decades in the sport — the unexpected turns, the opportunities that kept appearing, and the stories he’s collected while trying (and occasionally failing) to act like a responsible adult in the fly-fishing world.
