About this event

Chris and Amanda Miller share a passion for fly fishing that blends tradition, education, and community involvement. With more than 35 years of experience, Chris is well known in Ozarks fly fishing for his guiding, presentations, and dedication to preserving the history and heritage of the sport. Together they operate a gear- and species-diverse guide service throughout the Ozarks and White River region, introducing anglers to both vintage tackle and modern techniques. Active presenters across the Midwest, the Millers have worked with organizations including the American Museum of Fly Fishing while supporting conservation efforts and regional fly-fishing programs. Their shared interest in collecting and preserving historic fly-fishing gear reflects their belief that understanding the sport’s past enriches today’s anglers.

Amanda quickly developed her own accomplished path in fly fishing,

becoming the first woman to complete the Missouri Blue Ribbon Trout Slam and co-creating the Missouri Smallmouth Slam with Chris. She is deeply involved in conservation and outreach, organizing women-focused introductory fly-fishing events and volunteering to protect local trout waters through Stream Team #57. Together, Chris and Amanda are recognized throughout the region as guides, educators, and advocates dedicated to growing the sport while honoring its traditions — a perspective they bring to their presentation on buying and collecting historic and vintage fly-fishing gear.
